Promises of Allah in Quran
A promise is a declaration or an assurance that one will do something or that a particular thing will happen. Allah Almighty is the creator of this world. Allah has revealed a Holy Book Quran for all mankind. Quran is the book of guidance for all mankind. Allah (SWT) spoke of His creation through Quran. Quran has its unique style of narration or we can say the style of Allah’s narration. In Quran, Allah has committed promises to His believers and we all know Allah does not break His promises. You can read about all these Allah promises in Quran with translation and transliteration on your smartphone, you can download it from the links provided below:

When we read Quran with understanding then we will be able to understand what Allah (SWT) committed to us His believers. In our daily life routine, we like those people who fulfill their promises and we regard them as most respectable people. Allah promises His believers of many good things as a result of their faith and righteousness. Anyone who has a complete faith in the religion of Islam knows that Allah`s guarantee never fails: if one cannot get the said return in this world, it would be given in the life hereafter.

Allah (SWT) did promises to His believers in Quran and surely He will fulfill these promises because He does not break His commitments. If we want to get blessings from Almighty Allah then we should also do righteous deeds. Some of the promises of Allah are mentioned below:

1. A Good Life:
Believers face many difficulties in their life we can’t think they have a very good life. But the believers who are possibly going through suffering, Allah is giving them a feeling in their heart that could not be bought with the wealth of this worldly life. Due to this satisfaction believers have more faith in their Creator Allah Almighty. Allah says in Quran

“Whoever works righteousness, man or woman, and has Faith, verily, to him will We give a new Life, a life that is good and pure and We will bestow on such their reward according to the best of their actions.” (Quran 16:97)

Because of the difficulty, the believers go through and the patience they show Allah gives them something in their hearts that cannot be described with words.

allah swt to the believers

Man – Woman Spiritualism According To Islam
Allah (SWT) has made man and woman equally and similar in spiritual nature. Allah (SWT) says “O mankind! reverence your Guardian-Lord, Who created you from a single person, created, of like nature, his mate, and from them two scattered (like seeds) countless men and women; reverence Allah through Whom you demand your mutual (rights) and (reverence) the wombs (that bore you): for Allah ever watches over you…” (An-Nisa’ 4: 1)

A woman, however, in many cultures is not dealt decently and one of the reasons for this is, no understating of religion. Islam is the first religion that ensures equal rights amongst both of genders. However, equal rights do not mean similar rights. Many people have trouble in understanding this issue because they view the whole picture on a smaller canvas. These matters need to be seen on a broader canvas.

Benefit from the multiple sources of information that you have, Quran teaching and Sunnah. Keep yourself open to changes and ask Allah (SWT) for guidance!

Allah’s Channels Of Communication!
Allah has always guided the mankind through two main channels. These were the Prophets and the Holy Scriptures. Allah (SWT) has never left the humankind to wander in the darkness of this universe. He has always enlightened the path to success or the right path for humankind through the two major channels of communication.

Primary Channels Of Communication For Muslim
Allah (SWT) completed his knowledge upon his humankind through his last Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his last scripture, Holy Quran. These are the two authentic sources of information for Muslims now, which have been classified primary sources of information. However, if you have a problem in understanding any issue, you even have the option to take help for religious scholars.

Interpretation
The values in Islam have been derived from the laws defined through Quran and Sunnah. The basics remain constant; however, the values keep on changing according to the time and culture, since the interpretation changes from culture to culture. The interpretation changes because the Quran has been revealed in Arabic and the Arabic dialects change from place to place.

Interpretation, hence, plays an important role in our religion. Therefore, interpreters must consider the following things:

They should keep in mind the context in which the subject is being dealt. Same applies for the Sunnah as well.
Keep in mind the background of the revelation. It will help you understand the topic deeply.
Keep in mind the role of Sunnah in interpreting or defining the meaning of the Quranic text.
Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the living example of our Quran. That is why Sunnah has been considered the second source of information. You cannot understand the issues directly from the Quran or Sunnah alone. You need to go through both of them to understand the issues deeply. For example, prayers have been commanded in the Quran; however, we learn the praying method from the Sunnah only. Our beloved Prophet got these revelations from Gabriel, who himself was a means of communication between our Lord and our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

One should remember that Allah loves those who ask Him in need. Prophet (SAW) said: “There is nothing dearer to Allah than Dua” (Tirmidhi). Those who ask Allah in every need He love them and listen and accept their Duas. In some cases, you may find yourself in a situation where you feel that your Duas are not accepted. According to the Quran and hadiths, here are some reasons why our Duas are not being answered or fulfilled which we will discuss below:

The most important condition without which any Dua will not be accepted is to ask from someone else other than Allah Almighty. One should call upon no one except Allah. The Prophet (SAW) said: “If you ask, then ask of Allah, and if you seek help, then seek the help of ”(Tirmidhi)
We are in a hurry while making Dua. We should always take our time in making Dua. By rushing in while making dua we might be missing expressing gratitude for what we already have. Remember to send gratitude to Allah Almighty, praising Him and let send Salat on the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and then make Dua.
Our sins might be the major reason why our Duas are unanswered. Allah Says: “Ask forgiveness from your Lord, verily, He is Oft-Forgiving; He will send rain to you in abundance, and give you increase in wealth and children, and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers.” (Quran, 71:10-12)
Ask Duas in a proper manner because when a person asks Dua which is inappropriate or prays for something sinful; his Duas will not be answered.
Don’t make half-hearted Duas. Make your Duas with confidence that Allah will grant them. Especially if you’re asking for something good and beneficial.
We remember Allah Almighty in times of hardships but fail to remember Him at times of Happiness. Narrated Abu Hurairah: Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “Whoever would be pleased to have Allah respond to him during hardship and disaster should make much Dua in times of ease.” (Tirmidhi)
You are not praying with sincerity by demonstrating negligence then Allah Almighty will not answer your Duas.
The believer should always pray in good and bad times and not get tired of it. It is advised to stay calm and patient during hardships. It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (R.A) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: “(The Dua) of any one of you will be answered so long as he is not hasty in seeking a response and does not say, ‘I prayed but I have not had a response.’” (Bukhari)
One of the major reasons why Duas are not fulfilled or unanswered is you are earning and consuming Haram wealth. Abu Hurairah (R.A) said that our beloved Prophet (SAW) said: “O people, Allah is Good and only accepts that which is good. Allah commanded the pious to follow the same commandments as He gave to the Messengers. Then he mentioned a man who has travelled on a long journey and is disheveled and covered with dust; he stretches forth his hands to the heaven, (saying) “O Lord, O Lord”, but his food is haraam, his drink is haraam, all his nourishment is haraam, so how can he dua be accepted?” (Muslim)
Being uncertain while making Dua or being unsure of the Dua (or its reward) being accepted or not.
Dua is the strongest weapon. But it works only for those who try sincerely and seriously to use it. As a Muslim, we should never give up, because we have the ultimate weapon to counter our fears, depression, oppression, and adversity in the shape of Dua. The above-mentioned points are some of the mistakes that are made in Dua. May Allah guide us to the straight path and accept our Duas. Ameen!

Some Reasons due to which our Duas are not being Fulfilled
Dua is supplication, which means communicating with a deity, comes closer than invocation. It is an important part of our faith and belief. We ask from Almighty Allah for everything that we want in our life no matter its how big or small. Dua is a mean of keeping in touch with Allah (SWT). Due to Dua, we get closer to our Lord. We can say that Dua is a source of keeping the supplicant closer to the Almighty Allah.

Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran: “When my servants ask you concerning me, (tell them) I am indeed close (to them). I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calls on me.” (Quran, 2:186). From the above verse of Holy Quran, it is concluded that Allah Almighty listens to us when we make Dua.  We should always seek help from Allah (SWT).

Allah Almighty has given us the gift of asking for Duas and Ibadahs. Duas can be asked unconditionally and with sincerity and purity directly from Allah (SWT). Sometimes we keep on Praying for something but it happens that our Duas are being prevented from being answered. At that time a question comes to our mind “Why our Duas are unanswered?”

And Quran says in Sura Albaqara

“O you who have believed, enter into Islam completely and perfectly and do not follow the footsteps of satan. Indeed he is to you a clear enemy.” (Quran, 2:208)

So Islam and Muslims can only be the same if a follower of Islam follows his or her religion and enters into Islam completely. Following the basics is obligatory and being practical in following the Quran and Sunna is also equally important to be known as a true believer. In Chapter 7 Al Hashr, Allah Says,

“And what the Messenger gives you, so take it, and what he prohibits you, so refrain from it. And be in awe of Allah. Surely Allah is Stern of Punishment.” (Al-hashr 7)

So Islam is not only saying a few words, offering Salat five times, Paying Zakat, offering Hajj and fasting for one month. These are the basics and obligatory for Muslims but at the same time, these are the reminders and practices that the believers are sent into this world with the responsibilities and they are the representatives of Allah SAW and the preachers of His religion. As mentioned in Ale Imran,

“You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah. If only the People of the Scripture had believed, it would have been better for them. Among them are believers, but most of them are defiantly disobedient.” (Ale Imran 3:110)

Prophets SAW life was exemplary for us and in every walk of life he is the epitome of perfection for the Muslims.

Muslim is only known as a true Muslim if he or she follows Islam in every sense and he or she is not only a Muslim because of his looks and appearances. What makes a Muslim a true one and the yardstick with which he can be regarded as a true follower of Islam is his practicality, his true submission to the will of Allah and strong adherence to the Sunnah of the Prophet SAW.

How and why Islam and Muslims the same and why not?

It is the matter of practicality, without being practical Muslim the mentioned terms are not the same as these are not the meanings of the terms that matter but the attitude towards the basic teachings is all that is important.

Quranic View of the Terms Islam and Muslim
Islam Arabic ٱلْإِسْلَام‎ is an Abrahamic, monotheistic religion that teaches there is only one God (Allah) and Prophet Muhammad SAW is the last messenger of Allah SAW.

Islam is a word with multiple connotations. It is derived from an Arabic stem that carries the meanings of peace and submission (to Allah the Exalted and Almighty).

Islam means submission of one’s will to Allah SWT. Does it start from saying simply لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللّٰهِ‎  (lā ʾilāha ʾillā llāhu muḥammadun rasūlu llāhi) There is no god but God; Muhammad is the messenger of God.

Now, let us take a brief overview of the word “Muslim”. The beliefs of Muslims include:

God (Arabic: الله‎ Allah) is eternal.
God is transcendent and absolutely one (Tawhid)
God is incomparable
God is self-sustaining and neither begets nor was begotten.
Islam is the complete and universal version of a primordial faith.
And also Islam has been revealed before through many prophets including Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Moses, and Jesus.
These previous messages and revelations have been partially changed or corrupted over time.
The Quran is the final unaltered revelation from God (Final Testament)
From the point of view of a layman, it is true and yes it is obligatory to say these basic words when someone enters into Islam. It is also obligatory for the believers to say it and it is an Afzal zikr( Cardinal commemoration) in Islam. But it is more important to accept it from the core of one’s heart.

These basic words are the main pillars are the very core of Islam and it has two parts The first part says, As

The following verse of the Holy Quran asserts:

“Surely Allah does not forgive that anything should be associated with him, and forgives what is besides that to whomsoever He pleases, and whoever associates anything with Allah, he devises indeed a great sin.” (Surah an-Nisā’ 4:48)

The second part says

“Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Apostle of Allah and the Last of the prophets, and Allah is cognizant of all things.” (Quran, 33:40)
